Workshop on REDD+ Awareness raising will be held in Kratie Province on 6-7 August 2018. It aims to engage sub-national government staff from three provinces namely Kratie, Stueng Treng, Ratanak Kiri and Mondul Kiri. The staff members are from Provincial Municipalities, Provincial Department of Environment, Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery, and local administration including commune council members.     សិក្ខាសាលាផ្សព្វផ្សាយស្តីពីរេដបូកនឹងរៀបចំនៅខេត្តក្រចេះនាថ្ងៃទី ០៦-០៧ ខែសីហា ឆ្នាំ២០១៨។ សិក្ខាសាលានេះនឹងលើកកម្ពស់ឲ្យមានការចូលរួមពីមន្ត្រីរដ្ឋបាលថ្នាក់ក្រោមជាតិមកពីខេត្តចំនួន ៣ គឺខេត្តក្រចេះ ស្ទឹងត្រែង រតនៈគីរី និងមណ្ឌលគីរី ដែលរួមមានមន្រ្តីមកពីសាលាខេត្ត មន្ទីរបរិស្ថាន មន្ទីរកសិកម្ម រុក្ខាប្រមាញ់ និងនេសាទ ខណ្ឌរដ្ឋបាលព្រៃឈើ និងក្រុមព្រឹក្សាឃុំ។ 

The 7th Meeting of Cambodia’s REDD+ Safeguards Technical Team, 8:00-12:00 hrs, Sunway Hotel. This is to update the members of the Cambodia’s REDD+ Safeguards Technical Team about the recent progress made in the development of Cambodia’s approach for the implementation of the Cancun safeguards for REDD+ with the aim to create a Safeguards Information System and a Summary of Information on Safeguards.

The meeting aims to discuss about Consultation Group work plan to enhance REDD+ awareness raising raising to commune networks across the countries, relevant NGOs and academic institutions. Gender Group will join the meeting as observers. The meeting will be on 28 August 2018 from 8:30 - 5:00pm.  

Inception workshop on GHG-I and Mitigation Actions of Cambodia’s 1st BUR under UNFCCC, 8:00-12:30 hrs, Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel. This is to: (i) present the GHG-I workplan and its link with the BUR and TNC including project scope, approaches, time series activity data, emission factors, and related national circumstance, (ii) gather comment, suggestion and expectative from relevant stakeholders; (iii) identify the relevant stakeholders and initiate a collaboration with them in term of data collection and validation; (iv) ensure harmonization of efforts among stakeholders.

The National Consultation Workshop on Production Forest Strategy will be held on 30 August 2018, from 8:00-12 hrs, at Raffles Hotel Le Royal. This is to present and validate the Production Forest Strategic Plan (2018-2032) to key stakeholders from government and non-governmental entities.
