Introduction To Sub-Decree
The Royal Government of Cambodia established a Sub-decree to establish the national greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction (ER) mechanisms in Cambodia, and to provide the rules and procedures regarding the participation in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction (ER) mechanisms. Under the Sub-decree, an specific section is dedicated to the additional procedures for REDD+ related ER.
Process To Register
Any forest-related GHG ER Project that intends to receive payment for REDD+ GHG performance or generate and issue any REDD+ related GHG unit shall submit a request for registration in the National REDD+ Project Database to the REDD+ Task Force Secretariat. The purpose of this registration is to promote project alignment with the National REDD+ Strategy including its objectives and safeguard provisions and to promote coherence between project and national accounting of GHGs.
